Finding a job is not always easy. Whether you are a university student, or have already worked for a few years and wanting to refresh your skills or needing a career change, it is important to be prepared and understand how to best position yourself to potential recruiters and employers. Our Job-Ready Development Series aims to help participants deepen their understanding, develop skills, and gain tips and tricks on key topics, including:

In 2020, we are kicking off with 2 programs (note: due to social-distancing requirements during the COVID-19 pandemic, all our programs and initiatives are conducted virtually, either online or over the phone):

1-on-1 Coaching Sessions

Each participant will have their own individually tailored 1-on-1 coaching session with HR Specialist Louisa Hinchen (MBA). Louisa is the Managing Director at Hinchen Resources, and has spent the last 25+ years leading and mentoring successful HR & Recruitment teams nationwide.

Each private session will be up to 1 hour. The session with be focused on YOU, catered to YOU, and answer any niggling question YOU may have.

Group Workshop

The first online group workshop will be on Thursday 23rd April, 6:00 - 7:30 PM.

It is lead by Dr. Suzi Chen (Managing Director of Notonos Global) and our very own Local President Peter Copp (Director of Social Ventures Australia). Participants will ask questions, discuss or share advice in a casual group setting. Anyone is welcome, from students who have very little workforce experience, to those who have a few years under their belt, to industry experts.
